Outcome
A new cloud practice management product taken from concept to launch, replacing the constraints of on-premise software with AI-assisted scheduling and insurance verification.

Business context
The founder wanted to give ancillary care providers a modern way to manage their practices. Many of these practices relied on on-premise systems that were difficult to extend or customize. Zenclinic was conceived as a new cloud product that brings practice management and AI-enabled administrative capabilities into one platform.
The challenge
Existing on-premise software constrained how the product could evolve and how workflows could be customized. Building a new solution also required careful handling of sensitive healthcare information, and a broad practice management vision had to become a usable product with a secure data foundation and a practical path to launch.
The goal: a cloud-based foundation that supports practice operations, lets the product evolve, and uses AI to reduce administrative effort around scheduling and insurance verification.
My role
I provided product management and AI Solutions Architect support, working directly with the owner to understand the business problem and define the product and delivery plan. I structured the work with engineers and covered product design, solution architecture, engineering coordination, and regular communication with the owner through execution for launch.
How the workflow changes
Practice management moves from locally hosted software to a centralized cloud application. Scheduling and insurance verification become areas of AI assistance within the broader practice workflow, reducing administrative effort and giving the practice more flexibility as its requirements evolve.
Product experience and design
Product design brought the needs of ancillary healthcare practices into one coherent application. Scheduling, verification, patient records, billing, and the broader practice management experience were treated as parts of a single product, so the business vision could become concrete work for the engineering team.
Architecture and implementation
Zenclinic was a new build rather than a takeover of an existing application. The solution combined cloud delivery, a secure database, and AI-enabled capabilities. HIPAA compliance requirements informed the product's security direction and its handling of sensitive healthcare information.
Delivery approach
I connected the owner's goals to a structured product and engineering plan, helped scope the work, coordinated implementation with engineers, and kept the owner informed through regular updates and delivered outputs. The engagement combined responsibility for what the product needed to do with guidance on how to build it.
Results and current status
The engagement produced a new cloud practice management solution from an initial concept, with product design, AI architecture, and execution support for launch. Its value centers on replacing the constraints of on-premise software with a more adaptable product foundation and AI-enabled administrative capabilities.
